When you think of the Annual Fund, what should come to mind?
Making an Academy of Whole Learning education the best it can possibly be for our deserving students is our highest priority. The Annual Fund supports every aspect of the school’s operations; from the academic and athletic programs and extracurricular activities to financial aid, faculty salaries and professional development.
Through the support of parents, grandparents, alumni families and friends of Academy of Whole Learning we are most grateful to those who continue to support the school, its unique mission as well as our students, faculty and programs. Following the success of last year’s campaign, we hope to surpass this year’s goal of $75,000 for the 2017-2018 Annual Fund.
As part of our strategic plan, we are also determined to partner with the community to support our students with special learning needs. Partnerships with local corporations as sponsors for our fundraising events, family foundations and individuals help increase the amount of our scholarship funds annually. Additionally, the Board of Trustees has decided to continue offering need-based scholarships as a budget line item while we grow our scholarship program.
We are pleased to announce that we met our matching goal objective from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation and will be receiving $25,000 to go towards both 2018 summer and school-year scholarships.
