What is Intensive Behavior Intervention?

The purpose of the Intensive Behavior Intervention is to provide medically necessary early intensive intervention that targets the functional skills and core deficits of people with ASD and related conditions. As well as:

  • Educate, train and support clients, parents, and families
  • Promote the client’s independence and participation in family, school and community life
  • Improve long-term outcomes and quality of life for students and their families

How does Intensive Behavior Intervention work?

Our Intensive Behavior Intervention Therapy is individualized to each client. Our team will conduct Intensive Behavior Intervention services by providing 1:1 individual and family skills training which use strategies from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Skills training consists of focusing on the development in communication, socialization and behavior regulation. We provide center-based, in-home, and community based services. All of our behavior therapists are trained and certified as Registered Behavior Therapists and have experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related diagnoses.

Intensive Behavior Intervention Therapy is designed to promote coping skills, decrease disruptive behaviors and improve overall functioning in the family. All clients have Individualized Treatment Plans that identify goals which may include but are not limited to: increasing self-regulation and emotional control, improve self-esteem, grow parental understanding of managing problem behaviors, reduce conflict and use structure to improve daily life for the whole family.

The need for services is determined in a Diagnostic Assessment, which is done by one of our licensed therapists.
